Primarily, you are looking to add a dish for HD content on Dish Network and don't want to shell out $150-$200 for a DPP--44.
If you are only feeding one HD receiver, this is possible. First, obtain a used DP-21 from ebay or a local flee market and connect that between the output of the 34 switch and TV to input 2. On input 1 of the switch, connect the 61.5 dish, for instance. If your location uses a bird other than 61.5, use that.
Below is my setup. The DPP34 switch is on the right, and this may be mounted on the back of your Super Dish. Mine is in the garage because I have separate dishes for 105/110 and 119 as there is no one location on my property that can see all three. At the lower right is the DP-21 that feeds the HD set. At the bottom of the DP-21 is the output to the TV. On the left is the input from the 61.5 dish and at the right, is output 1 of the 34. The other shot is the 811 Check Switch screen, and that shows the 4 birds using this setup.
Note: If you need to feed two HD's you'll need the DPP-44 switch, or feed both from a separator connected to the DP-21's output.. If feeding a 622 dual sat, use a separator and the one feed from the SW21 will suffice for the two inputs.
Also, below, are individual pictures of the switches, and a screen shot showing that this is recognized in the Check Switch menu. You, of course, have to provide the dish and subscribe to a Dish Network HD package to make use of this. Without this dish, you will only get of few HD broadcasts from the main system. All of Voom in HD and MPeg4 HD's are on the separate bird (61.5 in my instance)
